A Healthy Optimism

Installations and Contructions

The following works include small paper sketches, constructions, installations and paintings of various predicaments and moods.  I think these works have a complexity of optimism, while being a bit anxious or locked in ones time.  They are always in the mist of figuring themselves out - as a structure and as a mix of materials.

With every opportunity there is an excitement to make something better, but there are also fears of failure or stress of unforeseen complications.  The works combine positive thinking and nervous cheerleading.

The characters or forms tend to float between being proactive while often times frozen in wreckage while clinging to a structure.
